Dr Neil O’Donovan B.D.S (U.Birm)

Principal Dentist

Having grown up on the South Coast, Neil qualified from The University of Birmingham in 2004. He has spent most of his professional life working in the Midlands, joining Dale House in 2016. He is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry with a special interests in orthodontics and strives to provide the best possible care for his patients. Outside of work he loves all sports, especially football and is a budding chef, cooking up feasts for his family.

Dr Mahoney has been working as a dentist at Dale House Dental Practice since 2012, and always provides a welcoming and relaxed environment for his patients. He enjoys providing minimally invasive dentistry for his patients and has a keen focus on prevention. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife Laura and his two young children Fred and Joe.

Dr Cufflin joined Dale House in 2008 and has become a long standing member of the team. Over the years he has enjoyed treating multiple generations as a family dentist and supporting all his patients by maintaining and improving their oral health. With his 25 years experience, he continually strives to deliver excellent care for his patients and regularly participates in postgraduate education to keep his knowledge up to date. He hopes to continue providing quality dental care for patients of Tamworth over the coming years.

Dr Deanay Chauhan BChD (U.Leeds)

Deanay has been with us since February 2024. During this time, he has built a special rapport with his patients and will go the extra mile to ensure they are comfortable throughout their patient journey at Dale House. He has a friendly and relaxed approach, which makes patients feel at ease. He is experienced in delivering a wide range of treatments in a comfortable and professional manner including all types of restorative dentistry. Deanay is well accomplished in smile makeovers, using the latest cosmetic dentistry systems to create new smiles using composite bonding and ceramic veneers. Deanay’s workflow incorporates the latest technology of dental 3D scanners meaning all work isexecuted with precision and accuracy.Deanay also works closely with our implantologist to restore dental implants, improving patients‘confidence’ in their smiles as well as providing pain-free dentistry. Outside dentistry, Deanay enjoys spending time with his family and loves all sports.

Tim graduated with honours from the University of Central Lancashire in 2021 as a postgraduate degree. He enjoys providing high-quality general dentistry but has a particular interest in restorative dentistry. Tim is also a registered Invisalign Provider, and we are confident that his expertise will be a great asset to the practice.

 Tim joins us from a private practice in Derby and, having recently settled in Ashby de la Zouch with his fiancée, he is looking forward to becoming a longstanding member of our team. We believe Tim’s approachable and friendly manner, combined with his commitment to further education, makes him an excellent addition to Dale House Dental Practice.

Outside of work Tim enjoys travelling, spending time with his fiancée and following the Formula 1.

Dr Carl Horton

Implant Dentist

Carl Horton is passionate about patient care and has travelled the world sharing his knowledge and lecturing extensively on treatment models and his pioneering research. After graduating from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1996 Carl worked predominately in private general practice. He went on to complete an MSc in both periodontology and implantology. Carl, who has lectured on international platforms in San Francisco, Gothenburg and Athens, also assisted in the training of foundation stage dentists at Birmingham University, in both clinical practice and restorative procedures, as well as delivering postgraduate lectures. He is Co-director of the West Midlands MSc VSSA for dental implantology, and mentors those learning about implants. Carl has a jargon-free approach to dentistry, and joins a growing number of dentists who wish to challenge negative preconceptions and build a friendly, patient-focused image for their profession.
